I wish to recommend the
"Azalea Lodge" in Gold Beach, Oregon to any traveler. We were
greeted warmly as we checked in; even an offer to make a fresh pot of
coffee. The hostess went before us and turned up the heater and brought
extra linen. The room was very clean, simple and spacious. It
was quiet, and felt safe and secure. What an awesome experience
to find real people running a motel. I've traveled many
states and have stayed in some "high class" motels only to find
"robot" girls checking you in; lack of enough simple things such as a
washcloth for each one's face and no one caring about it. The Azalea
Lodge has restored my faith in motels with their integrity, warmth and caring ways

Azalea Lodge, We have truly enjoyed our stays at your lodge from
9/12 - 9/14 and 9/16 - 9/18/09. The room (#105) has been clean, bright, quiet
and cheerful. All the plumbing has worked flawlessly, which can be a big
plus to weary travelers! Having a fridge with a freezer is great and so
is the handy microwave. Your location, while near the center of town is
remarkably peaceful even though Hwy 101 is right outside our front door.
You're only a couple blocks from shore. Thank you for recommending
Spinners Restaurant - we enjoyed our dinner completely - Superb! And 15% off
was an added treat, thanks again! We will recommend your lodge to others.
